Hmm, torn here! Place is beautiful, great treatments, great food. Unfortunately, the downside is BIG in my book. Ojo has sold out from being a healing, tranquil, clean spa to one that is trying to appeal to the masses. This combo does not work. Healing waters are dirty with skin and hair floating on the top. So many day pass folks who are NOT paying top dollar for spa treatments make this place a "wet and wild " in the desert. Seek elsewhere for the serenity Ojo Caliente once was.
Beautiful drive this time of year, trees are changing colors and the mountains put off a pinkish tone. We stayed one night in the main house, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, full kitchen. Home was clean and beds were super comfortable, however, for $500 a night, I would expect a few more perks from resort (use of private spa or discount on services), admission to general springs was included. Overall grounds are kept well, just too many people in each spring.
I have been attending this spa for years & it's always an amazing experience! Clean, professional & filled with such tranquil vibes! They also let you in for free on your birthday! Happy birthday to me! :)
My girlfriend and I just returned from Ojo Caliente spa and we had a fantastic time! The spa is beautiful, the scenery is breath-taking and the staff are wonderful! We sampled all the mineral springs, had a massage, tried out the sauna and had delicious meals. Everything was perfect! The rooms are spacious & well decorated. We couldn't have asked for a nicer time. The prices are reasonable too. If you want a wonderful resort experience you will always remember go there! We are definitely going back someday!
Amazingly beautiful and peaceful respite. Lots of different pools with natural hot springs water, each one with a different healthful mineral. Wide array of spa services to choose from, but they are on the pricey side. Delicious restaurant serving all three meals. Also differently priced overnight options.
